Temple Tantrum

I count religion but a childish toy,
and hold there is no sin but ignorance.

My personal rule about picking on Christianity and other religions is that I don’t do it — not too much, anyway. The reason for this rule is not that religion is sacrosanct and above reproach, but that I hold it in such low regard; a short step above Tooth Fairies and Ninja Turtles. There’s little to be gained from attacking such an easy, low-hanging, defenseless target. That’s not me talking, that’s nonduality; not even the nondual worldview but merely the nondual insight disqualifies Christianity and others from serious consideration forever and ever. Amen.

Another reason for not attacking emotion-based religions is that they might not share my sense of humor and might attack back. I’m not singling anyone out, but if you don’t want to wake up some morning with your head cut off or burning at the stake, you better watch who you poke fun at.
