Death does not exist. That may come as a huge relief, but don’t break out the bubbly just yet. Although death may not exist in the truth sense, in the dreamstate sense it’s as real as the nose on your face. Like everything in the dreamstate, there is no such thing as death. The reason there is no death is that there’s no life to end or you to die. There never was a you, will never be a you, and, despite appearances, there’s no you now. I know you feel strongly otherwise, so do I, so does everyone in Plato’s cave and the matrix — it’s a hard feeling to shake — but when we open our eyes and see what is, we find ourselves glaringly absent. No-death is true in the same sense that no-self and no-universe are true. It’s a package deal; no cherrypicking.
