I have not wanted anything for decades (otherless, what’s to want?), but what happens when no one wants anything? Nothing is what happens, and nothing can be a real problem; doubly so because it’s a problem no one would want to solve. Without desire, there’d be no reason to do anything and we’d all end up standing around grazing, just like the original dipshits, Adam and Eve. 

Cue the serpent.
