I don’t enjoy speaking critically of others, especially when they’re cloaked in sincerity and good intentions, but I have a severe allergic reaction to spiritual and pop-nonduality teachers, and for good reason. I decided a few years ago to pay less attention to them because I found the cons outweighed the pros. Until then, I’d surf online video teachers – at all levels of expertise, experience, and popularity – as a way of monitoring the spiritual landscape. I’d spend maybe thirty minutes a month listening to random teachers for a minute or two, getting a sense for what they were saying, and how well, before moving on to the next. I found it somewhat amusing, but seldom enlightening.
