Thinking Makes It So

(audio available for paid subscribers)

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact.
Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.

Just as the universe has no other hands but ours, it has no other opinions or judgment but ours, no other brush to paint with than ours, no other funky dance moves but ours, no other lovesongs or newborn babies or spatchcock chicken recipes but ours. Of course, it has no ability to wage war, pollute, commit genocide or whistle in public but ours either, so you take the good with the bad. You might not like every song or painting or holocaust, but they’re all equally valid in a dream sense the way war movies and romantic comedies are equally valid in a cinematic sense. You represent a suspended-disbelief perspective; your belief that the matrix is real doesn’t make it real, it makes it seem real.

"You must learn to see with the same eye a mound of earth and a heap of gold, a cow and a sage, a dog and the man who eats the dog. The mind is greater than the senses. Above the mind there is pure intelligence, freed from thought. Beyond pure intelligence there is being -- universal being. That is where you live, where we all live."
