I recently heard a respected teacher explain that the goal of nonduality was the reduction of suffering and increase of peace and happiness. He might have said more but I couldn’t hear it over the unlovely sound of my vomiting. Another teacher offered enlightenment in a one-hour session. (I must’ve misheard that one.) Another said that nonduality is subjective and constitutes a search for your authentic self, but I had nothing left in my stomach and could only respond with dry heaves.
