When you’re trapped in a spider’s web, it’s not the ability to identify filament types and weaving patterns that’s going to save your ass, it’s power. You have one shot; nothing can be held in reserve and there can be no secondary objective. It takes raw power to tear yourself loose, to chew off your own limbs, to do whatever it takes to get free. All other spiritual activities are hobbies and pastimes for getting comfortable in captivity, but getting out requires power.
