Sweet Words

(audio included for paid subscribers)

This is not a new thing. I split the first thing into two things
so the first thing is now two things and the old second thing
is the new third thing. That sounds wrong but I think it’s right.
Let’s just say it’s right.

You say you’re a spiritual being having a human experience. That sounds nice, but what do these words mean? It sounds like something but it’s really nothing. If it’s true, okay, maybe, but is it true? I would say no. You’re putting the cart in front of the horse. You’re saying things that feel good in the mouth and make you look smart for your neighbors, but you don’t do yourself any good this way. You can’t make sense by talking nonsense. You might be helping someone with pretty talk, but you’re not helping you. Maybe don’t worry so much about sweet words. Try to say some real things first and maybe make them sweet later if you want.

"How do you come to this information? You don’t know right, of course, but maybe you know wrong, which would satisfy any desire to know right, right? Sure, that’s the point. You don’t need to know right, you just need to satisfy your need to know. That really lowers the bar, I would say."
