Abdication is the flight from authentic natural order to synthetic manmade order. Surrender is the return from synthetic manmade order to authentic natural order. Surrender of egoic control and severing of emotional attachment triggers the release into freefall in the hope that some mysterious something will catch you, but it looks like a leap of faith because if you don’t get caught – splat!

That’s what a leap of faith always is; stepping into the void in the irrational hope that there’s something where you see nothing. But is it really faith? That makes it sound optional, but can we not take this step when the time comes? Do we have any choice in the matter?
