If you insist on bottom-up thinking – struggling up the spiritual down-escalator for years and decades before finally, hopefully, maybe achieving some modicum of spiritual insight, some pretty pebble you’ll treasure like the Hope Diamond because you paid so dearly for it – then here’s a piece of advice: Instead of climbing up from a bottomless pit of ignorance and superstition, start from the top – the knowably true – and work your way down. Stake life upon truth. Let truth be your beacon, sole and exclusive. Otherwise, your spiritual journey will end like they all do – guaranteed.
