The difference between otherborn and selfborn is the difference between false and authentic self, between childhood and adult, between the segregated and integrated states. All Human Children are otherborn. What that other might be — nature, nurture or the man in the moon — doesn’t matter, only that you are not selfborn. Nature, nurture, tomayto, potahto, who cares what influence you’re the result of once you’ve determined it’s not you?
