A serious person, by my reckoning, is someone who either has a pretty good idea of who and what and where they are, or they’re on their way to finding out. An unserious person, by my reckoning, is pretty much anyone who takes this dreamstate stuff seriously, which means, pretty much everyone, and which further means that all these very serious people we see all around us are actually very silly people. The most serious of us are really the silliest, the most absurd. Ironic, but undeniable.
