People asleep in the herd, present company excluded, seem pretty happy being asleep in the herd, so why wake them up? What business is it of ours? When you’re not unhappy you don’t desire change, and the herd is not unhappy – not regarding the reality of reality anyway. Maybe we could flip a few of them out of their comfort zone, but why? Everything is perfect just the way it is, so why go around messing with people?

Rumi
Rumi (1207–1273) was a Persian poet, Islamic scholar, and Sufi mystic whose works have inspired readers worldwide for centuries. Born in present-day Afghanistan, he spent much of his life in Turkey, where he formed a deep spiritual bond with Shams of Tabriz, a relationship that profoundly influenced his poetry.
