Going Solo

(audio available for paid subscribers)

None but ourselves can free our minds.

I’ve never had much business with gurus or spiritual teachers or any other members of the priestcraft hierarchy. I’ve always assumed them to be the unwitting minions of Maya and I’ve never had cause to revisit that assumption. It’s not that spiritual teachers in general and nonduality teachers in particular are bad at what they do, but that what they do has nothing to do with waking from delusion. Quite the opposite in fact, always the opposite. Teachers are not necessary for awakening, only for staying soundly asleep despite our natural tendency toward neutral buoyancy. Waking up is a solo journey; travel light and fast, secure in the knowledge that you’ll always find what you need when you need it.
