What’s the actual point of achieving adulthood or enlightenment? Are these states just universally desirable? I would say adulthood is and enlightenment isn’t, but I’d be wrong if I made childhood — the eyes-closed, fear-based, egoclad, herdbound segregated state — seem wrong. (Where would anyone get that idea?) Human Childhood isn’t a state of wrongness, it’s just a bit wonky, but it’s wonky for a very good reason. And frankly, adults aren’t that much less wonky than children, just different, and again, for good reason.
