Fear is the oily black smoke that encircles the Earth and engulfs humanity. We’re like fish in the ocean that don’t know what water is because they’ve never known anything else. We don’t know we’re in the smoke because we’ve never been out of it. Whether you understand it this way or not, this oily black smoke is what you’re trying to get away from, and your right and natural human adulthood is what you’re trying to get to; out of eyes-closed delusion and into open-eyed lucidity. That’s the nondual leg of the awakening journey. Once complete, you can drop nonduality like a machete when you emerge from the jungle. At that point, you have arrived at your place of right-belonging where you can expand, explore and express your integrated dreamstate being however your unique and authentic pattern dictates. If, at that point, you still want to adore a guru or experience unconditional love or declare every day Taco Tuesday, great, the dreamstate is your oyster, but it all starts with getting above the smokeline.
